The first season of “The Walking Dead” is officially over, and it’s pretty safe to say that AMC has a bona fide hit on their hands. The network’s adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s award-winning comic book series broke records almost every week an episode aired, and last night’s finale has everyone looking forward to the next season of zombie-filled drama.
To that end, Splash Page HQ was treated to a visit from “The Walking Dead” cast members Laurie Holden and Norman Reedus, who play survivors Andrea and Daryl Dixon, respectively. With both of their characters living to see another season, we chatted them up about last night’s finale and what we can expect from their characters when “The Walking Dead” returns… watch the video and read more
The actor behind our favorite character on AMC’s breakout show swigs some SoCo, gets creative about zombie-killing, unleashes his inner Sean Penn, and previews Season Two. With squirrel. (And spoilers.)

America’s favorite zombie soap opera ended its first season with a literal bang last night as the survivors entered the CDC in search of answers, a hot meal, and some much needed hygiene. Given this explosive goodbye, we couldn’t think of anyone better with whom to share the touchingly bleak finale than The Walking Dead‘s own beloved Rage-aholic Redneck, Daryl Dixon. So, we called up the very gifted actor who plays Daryl, Norman Reedus, and asked him to walk us through the finale — and share memories of what it’s been like to go into work everyday and kill zombies and feast on squirrel. Read below as we bid our favorite new show a fond farewell until next October. In the meantime, we’ll be awaiting the DVD box set and embracing our new life philosophy of WWDD: What Would Daryl Do? … Read more
Actor Norman Reedus talks about his role in the hit series “The Walking Dead” by director Frank Darabont (The Mist, The Green Mile) starring Jon Bernthal (Date Night, Numb3rs), Jeffrey DeMunn (The Majestic, The Shawshank Redemption) and Laurie Holden (Silent Hill, The Shield). Here’s our exclusive interview.
SY: You have starred in numerous mainstream films since the ’90s, including ‘8MM,’ ‘Gossip,’ ‘Blade II’ and ‘American Gangster,’ but are most remembered for your lead role as Murphy MacManus in ‘The Boondock Saints’ and its sequel. What is it about this character that resonates with audiences?
NR: I think with Boondock Saints, it sort of became the people’s movie. It was put in a unique category where people spread the word. They passed it to friends and so on. It grew into this huge cult hit just by people liking it and wanting their friends to like it. I think I’m most proud of that. There wasn’t promotion. There wasn’t a release. And it still grew 70 feet tall. It’s an… READ MORE
We get a new, human character on this week’s The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. The younger brother of racist Merle (Michael Rooker), who we last saw trapped on a roof top, handcuffed to a pipe. Daryl is played by Norman Reedus, whose previous credits include The Boondock Saints and its sequel, and The Messengers 2. In our exclusive interview, we talk to Norman about playing a redneck douchebag, working with zombies, and what is on the horizon for the recently-announced second season of The Walking Dead.
Tell me about your character, Daryl Dixon.
He is one half of the bad-ass Dixons. If you grew up with Merle as your big brother, you probably … READ MORE

Movie Mikes had the chance again to talk with Norman about his role in the show and how it differs from his other projects.
Mike Gencarelli: Tell us about your role of Daryl Dixon in “The Walking Dead”?
Norman Reedus: Daryl is an ex-con that lives alone with his brother. When the apocalypse happens, he fends for himself. He is a hunter. He hunts with a crossbow. He is quite the hot head. He is also efficient in his killing. He is a no-bullshit kind of a kind. My character comes in on the… READ MORE
