Now that the movie has been shown to fans, we can finally sit down and talk about it.
I saw “Boondock Saints II” last week. I liked it.
I didn’t like it in the way that I’m a news editor and occasional film critic. I didn’t love it in the way that I’m an artist and I can appreciate a classic piece of film.
Let’s face it, there’s two kinds of people in the world: The ones that love “The Boondock Saints” and the ones who hate “The Boondock Saints.”
And I love “The Boondock Saints.” … Hear the podcast

As writer-director Troy Duffy recalls it, the cast and crew of The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day were more than a tad nervous when they began work on their Boston-set, vigilante-action sequel. “Everybody was terrified to be the guy that screwed it up,” he says of the Toronto shoot for his movie, which is released October 30. “They knew the fans would find out where they lived and burn their f—-ing house to the ground.”… READ MORE

Norman Reedus made his feature film debut with Mimic. Not a bad way to start – working with Guillermo Del Toro, arguably one of the finest creative forces in film today. The actor would be called back by Del Toro years later for Blade II, this time as Scud, the Daywalker’s new tech assistant (after the brief demise of Kris Kristofferson’s “Whistler”). Del Toro isn’t the only director to use Reedus twice.
Christian Alvart called him up when production on Pandorum (open in theaters now) was about to begin. The pair had previously collaborated on the serial killer thriller Antibodies. And, of course, there’s Troy Duffy, who made Reedus one of the Boondock Saints. A sequel – subtitled “All Saints Day” – is getting… READ MORE

Geeks of Doom has had the honor of interviewing some of the great cast members of Troy Duffy’s desperately-anticipated sequel, Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day. First up was the wonderful Clifton Collins Jr., who’s new to the gang in the sequel. And now, I’m pleased to present our own little chat with the best two good guy killers ever seen in a movie — the Boondock Saints: Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus!
Whether you’re a super-fan of the original 1999 cult classic The Boondock Saints or not, you’ve very likely seen both of these gentleman in numerous other movies and TV shows. Sean has appeared in movies like Powder and Suicide Kings, and he even rocked the fedora and whip as Indiana Jones in Young Indiana Jones. Norman will soon be seen in Pandorum, and is also known from his roles in movies like Deuces Wild, Blade II, and Ridley Scott’s American Gangster with Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington… READ MORE

After chatting with Sean Patrick Flanery last week it was obvious that there was something special about Boondock Saints. I’m not referring to the fact that the film, which barely got a run in the theaters, managed to grow into a sensational cult classic; rather that the success of the film had a profound effect on the actors that made us love it. Norma Reedus emphasized his gratitude for Troy Duffy casting him as Murphy McManus in the 1999 hit, but it’s moviegoers that should be thankful for it let a talented actor share his craft with the world.
Norman may have held back when it came to divulging juicy Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day plot details and informed me that’s he’s never seen Titanic (gasp), but he’s still got a lot to say about the vast number of projects he’s so passionate about. It’s been ten years since we’ve seen Reedus as Murphy McManus and he’s … READ MORE

Norman Reedus first exploded onto the silver screen and our collective conscience in “Boondock Saints.” Directed by Troy Duffy, Reedus played opposite of Sean Patrick Flanery as one of the McManus brothers in a unique film that would go on to become one of the biggest cult sensations in movie history. Over a decade later, the duo find themselves stepping back into those shoes, or in this case peacoats, to bring on one of the most highly anticipated sequels of all-time.
Reedus has been a very busy man in the years since the original “Boondock Saints” film. This seemingly fearless artist has taken… READ MORE
